Why we built it

Coding agents are very good when one person is steering one of them. The moment a team is involved, it falls apart. One teammate has Claude Code open, another is in Codex, a third is in Cursor. Nobody can see what anyone else's agent is doing, nobody can step in halfway through a run, and when an agent gets stuck, its context is stuck with it.

Friday Work is a shared workspace where the people and the agents work in the same session. You share a session, teammates join and watch live, and anyone can take the wheel. You can run your own coding tools beside Friday's agents, each in its own worktree, hand work from one to another, and carry on from a Claude Code or Codex session you already had.

What we believe

See every step

An agent that works out of sight is an agent you have to trust blindly. In Friday, everyone in the session watches every step as it happens, and the whole run is kept as a record you can scroll back through.

Someone is always driving

Each agent has one driver at a time, so there is never a question of whose instructions it is following. Anyone can ask for the wheel, and the owner can always stop a run.

Your tools stay yours

Claude Code, Codex and Cursor run on your own machine, under your own accounts. We never hold their credentials and we never meter them. Friday is where they meet your team, not a replacement for them.

Who is behind it

Friday Work is built by Arun, who started it because he kept running into this problem himself. It is a small, young product and it changes quickly. We read every message we get, and a lot of what is in the app today came from someone telling us what was in their way.

Try it, and tell us what you think

The app is free to start, on Mac and Windows. If something is confusing, missing or broken, we want to hear it.
