  • v0.1.22latest, 8 October
  1. v0.1.22

Any coding tool can carry on from any other

    • Start a conversation in Claude Code and carry it on in Codex, Cursor or Friday Code. The earlier session comes in as history, so nothing is lost when you switch.
    • One box for the agent, the model, the branch and the mode. Plan, Manual or Auto is shown to the whole room, and changing it never restarts an agent mid-run.
    • Teammates can bring their own agent into a session without having the session’s folder, and an agent is told where things stand the moment it joins.
    • Owners can remove people from a session. Anyone removed loses the wheel and their machine at once, and viewers are told they can only watch.
    • Switch branches from the branch pill in the header, and see which coding tool and which conversation a session continues.
    • A new Glass theme, Windows gets the same window design as the Mac, and the app’s pages load four times lighter.
  2. v0.1.21

Rewind, follow mode and a hand-over note

    • Rewind a session to an earlier point.
    • Follow mode, saved commands, background commands and approval rules.
    • Edit your queued instructions and the team’s redirects before an agent picks them up.
    • Leave a hand-over note when you pass an agent on, and race two agents to compare what they did.
    • See who is here: faces with live dots, and a list of who is online and who is not.
  3. v0.1.20

Who is driving, right in the message box

    • A pill in the message box shows who is driving. Release the wheel, hand it to a teammate, or ask for it in one press.
    • Claude Code’s session and weekly limits, shown side by side.
    • The review and the changed files are now one card.
    • On the Mac, the chat list and the page are one connected window.
  4. v0.1.19

    The Agent Board

    • Every agent working for you, as a card, sorted by what needs a person first.
    • Each card reads its pull request’s status straight from GitHub.
    • A Needs you switch shows only the agents waiting on you.
    • Redesigned Models and Usage pages.
  5. v0.1.18

The app keeps itself up to date

    • Friday checks for updates every 10 minutes, when you come back to the window and when your computer wakes, and installs them for you.
    • Editors can bring their own agent into a session as a lane of their own, on their own coding tool.
  6. v0.1.17

Run your Friday agents on your own coding tool

    • Put any agent you built in Friday onto Claude Code, Codex or Cursor in one step. Its instructions go with it.
    • Move a lane that carries a saved agent onto your own coding tool.
    • Forgot your password? Reset it from a link in your email.
  7. v0.1.16

Invite links open the app, and 50 more connections

    • An invite link opens the desktop app straight away, on Windows and Mac.
    • More than 50 new connections, including Craft, Jotform, PandaDoc, Make, Statsig and WorkOS.
    • While you were away: a catch-up card that says what changed and takes you there in one click.
    • Signing up with email now confirms your address with a six-digit code.
  8. v0.1.15

Links that open in the app, and side-by-side panels

    • Links from the website open straight in the desktop app.
    • In split chat, choose which agent each column shows.
    • Put any two panels side by side, or one above the other.
    • New coding sessions start with their invite link on, and you can replace a link at any time.
    • Pro and Max plans for workspaces.
  9. v0.1.14

Upload a folder into a session

    • Upload a whole folder from inside a session.
    • A calmer, neutral look, and a notice in the sidebar when a new version is ready.
    • Usage shows how much of your allowance is left, as a percentage.
  10. v0.1.13

Split chat, and a worktree for every lane

    • Split chat: two agents side by side, each with its own message box.
    • Give each lane its own git worktree, so agents never trip over each other’s files.
    • Import your agents from Claude Code, Cursor and Codex.
    • Pick the model for Claude Code, Codex or Cursor right beside the agent, even in the middle of a session.
    • Go from diff to pull request in the Files panel: review, checks, commit, push and open the PR.
  11. v0.1.12

    Plan, Manual and Auto

    • Choose how much an agent may do on its own. Manual asks before it runs a command.
    • Hand work from one agent to another, fork a session or a message, and watch a context gauge fill.
    • See your coding tools’ usage limits beside the session.
    • The agent builder writes onto the canvas as it thinks, and proposes specialist sub-agents for the job.
    • A guided tour for anyone new.
  12. v0.1.11and v0.1.10, v0.1.9

    Skills from GitHub

    • Import a GitHub repository of skills as a collection, and give it to an agent in one step.
    • The agent builder picks the skills from your collections that best fit the job.
    • New settings: appearance, notifications, shortcuts, and data export and backup.
    • A new Friday logo, in the app and on your desktop.
  13. v0.1.8and v0.1.7

Teammates bring their own coding agent

    • Each teammate brings their own Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, on their own machine, under their own account.
    • A built-in browser to preview the site your agent is running.
    • When a model fails, Friday retries on the next one and says plainly what went wrong.
    • Cloning a GitHub repository is more reliable, and says why when it cannot.
  14. v0.1.6and v0.1.5, v0.1.4

Faster to connect, quieter on Windows

    • Connecting your machine is much faster, with no terminal windows flashing on Windows.
    • Folders open in place in the desktop app.
    • The preview finds your site’s real port and opens links inside itself.
  15. v0.1.3

    The big rebuild

    • Rebuilt around chat, with an agent builder you talk to and a memory that spans the app.
    • Wind a session back, and see when two agents have changed the same file.
    • Comment on a line of a change and have the agent answer.
    • Race two agents on the same task.
    • Skills, and agents that set up their own helper agents.
    • Bring people into a session from inside the app.
  16. v0.1.2and v0.1.1

    The first releases

    • Friday for Windows and Mac, signed, and updating itself from the start.
    • Sign in with your email, or in your own browser.
