Getting started

Updated 1 October 2026

Create an account, make a workspace, start a session and bring your team in. This takes a few minutes.

What you need

An account, and one task you want to work on with an agent. To use your own Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, you also need them installed on your computer.

Set up your first session

  1. Create an account. You can sign in with Google, with GitHub, or with an email address and password.
  2. Open your workspace. Work lives in a workspace, and its owner decides who is a member, which plan it runs on, and which connections agents can use.
  3. Start a session for the task. A session holds one or more agents.
  4. Add an agent. Use Friday’s own, one your team has built, or your own coding agent.
  5. Invite your team by link, as editors or viewers.

What happens in a session

Everyone in the session sees the same messages, files and tool calls as they happen. Each agent has one driver at a time, and everyone else can watch, suggest a redirect or ask to take over.

Every action is recorded in the session log. See control and limits.
