Friday Work vs Conductor

By Arun Dass · Published 14 October 2026

Both run several coding agents at once. Conductor runs them on a Mac or in its cloud, and its team features live in that cloud. Friday runs them on your own computer, in one live session your team can watch, steer and take over.

What is Friday Work?

Friday Work is a multiplayer AI workspace for coding teams. Your people and your coding agents work in one live session: the same task, the same record, the same tools. It works in your browser; the desktop app for Windows and Mac is optional.

  • Teammates join a session by link, watch every step, suggest changes and take control when it is their turn.
  • Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and 11 more coding agents run on your own machine and your own plans, side by side in one session, with Friday’s own agent when you want it.
  • Smart routing suggests the agent and model most likely to get each task right, for the least, and a project brain briefs whichever agent comes next.
  • Continue a Claude Code, Codex or Cursor session you already have, instead of starting over.
  • Plan, Manual or Auto: you decide what an agent may do, and approve its commands as a team.
  • Connect GitHub, Slack, Linear and 80+ more tools over MCP once, and choose which agents may use them.
  • Free for one person. Team Basic is $15 a seat a month and Team Pro $30, and new teams get Team Basic free for 7 days.

How does working together differ?

In Conductor, team work happens in cloud workspaces. The agent runs in a sandbox Conductor hosts, the chat updates live for everyone in your organization, and you can reassign a workspace to a teammate.

In Friday, the agents stay on the computer of whoever is driving. The team joins that live session, one person drives each agent, and it hands on to a teammate or another agent with its full history.

Where do your code and your session go?

  • Conductor on your Mac: messages go straight to your model provider, and session data stays on your device.
  • Conductor Cloud: the agent works in a sandbox in Vercel’s us-east-1 region, and chat messages are stored on Conductor’s servers.
  • Friday: your repository stays on your computer and is not copied. The session itself, its messages, steps and commands, goes through Friday’s servers so your team can watch it. What Friday stores.

What does a team of five pay?

PlanA month, five peopleWhat the team gets
Friday Team Basic$75One live session for the team, any of 14 agents
Friday Team Pro$150The same, plus frontier models for Friday’s own agent
Conductor Pro$250Cloud workspaces, live collaboration for up to 5 Pro users
Conductor Teams$300Collaboration at any size, admin portal, central billing

Monthly list prices. Both use the Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor plans you already pay for, on top. People who only watch a Friday session need no seat.

When is Conductor the better pick?

If your team is on Macs and wants agents that keep running in the cloud after you close the app, with a diff-first review before each pull request, Conductor fits. It also has an API and a mobile app, and it offers SOC 2 and SSO for companies that need them.

When is Friday the better pick?

If anyone on the team uses Windows, if your code should stay on your own computers, or if you want people to watch for free and step in live, Friday fits. It also runs more coding agents, for less a seat.
