To let someone watch an AI coding agent run, run it in Friday, press Share in the session header and send the Watch live link. The person opens it in a browser and sees every step as it happens. They do not need an account, and it costs nothing. They can only read; steering takes an editor link, an account and Team.
Who is this for?
- A teammate who wants to see where your agent is, without a call.
- A manager, client or contractor who has no Friday account and should not need one.
- A friend you want to show a run to, or someone helping you debug it.
- Anyone you would otherwise send a screen recording or a pasted transcript.
How do you send the link?
- Run your Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another coding agent in a Friday session on your own computer.
- Press Share in the session header.
- Copy the Watch live link, or the Replay link if the run has finished.
- Paste it into chat, email or an issue. It shows a preview with the session’s name.
The agent keeps running on your computer, so that computer has to stay on while it works.
What does the person see?
They see the session as it runs, in a browser: messages, tool calls and file changes, and what happened before they opened it. The page is read-only. A slim bar offers Try Friday free, if they want a session of their own.
| Watch live link | Editor link | |
|---|---|---|
| Account needed | No | Yes, they sign in |
| Can read the whole session | Yes | Yes |
| Can suggest a redirect or ask for control | No | Yes |
| Cost | Free on every plan | Team, from $15 a seat a month |
What should you check before you send it?
- Anyone with the link can read the whole session, including earlier messages and anything an agent printed. Keep secrets out of the folders agents work in.
- Share only with people who should see the work. You can turn a link off or replace it at any time.
- Friday stores the session record so the link works. The security page says what is stored and what is not finished yet.
