Agents and skills
An agent is a worker with its own instructions, skills and model. Describe what it should do, and the agent builder creates it.
Build an agent
You build agents in the agent builder. You describe what the agent should do, and the builder creates it.
- Open the agent builder.
- Type what the agent should do, in your own words.
- The builder creates the agent, with its instructions, tools and skills.
- Review what it made, edit anything you want, and choose a model.
- Share it with named teammates or the whole workspace.
Automate an agent
An agent can run on its own. Set a schedule or a trigger, choose a channel for its updates, and give it memory so it remembers what matters.
Skills
A skill is a brief you write once, such as “Review a diff”. Any agent that carries it gets better at that job. A skill can have keywords that say when to use it, and reference files.
Models
Friday’s own model runs on every plan. Pro and Max add frontier models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and DeepSeek. You choose a model for each agent, and a thinking level: fast, balanced or deep.
